I'm a graphic designer...
With over two decades of experience in the creative industry, I am a seasoned magazine designer and graphic artist specializing in publication design, branding, and advertising. Since 2024, I have worked as a freelance designer, crafting monthly magazines for clients across Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Alabama and designing promotions and direct mail for casinos. I have been designing an assortment of these publications since 2013. My portfolio includes the design of more than 100 magazines—ranging from monthly to annual issues up to 100 pages—where I meticulously plan layouts, create compelling artwork and cover images, and develop unique visual styles for each publication. My work spans diverse genres such as lifestyle, religion, senior living, graduation, and sports, and I am adept at designing display ads, fliers, posters, outdoor signage, brochures, logos, and videos, always ensuring high-quality results and adherence to strict deadlines.
From 2013 to 2024, I contributed to Downstream Casino Resort in Quapaw, OK, advancing from Graphic Designer to Advertising Coordinator. Downstream Casino acted as it's own in house advertising agency to take care of all needs for the casino advertising. In my advertising leadership role (2020–2024), I managed direct mail campaigns, coordinated media buys across radio, television, and outdoor platforms, oversaw invoice management for 25+ media clients, and maintained seamless communication with agencies and vendors. All while assisting the graphic designer with projects as needed. As a Graphic Designer (2013–2020), I produced newsletters, posters, brochures, flyers, logos and postcards, as well as, managed promotional signage, organized and executed photo shoots, and developed collateral for all internal departments, including social media and entertainment marketing. My skill set also includes photo editing, manipulation, and video production, all delivered under tight deadlines.
Previously, I served as a Graphic Designer at The Joplin Globe in Joplin, MO (2008–2013), where I designed display ads, planned magazine layouts for over 55 issues, coordinated and photographed magazine shoots, and contributed monthly restaurant reviews and humor columns.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Missouri Southern State University, earned in 2003. My dedication to creative excellence is matched by my proven ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver visually engaging solutions for a wide array of audiences.
